The Obstetrics and Gynecology specialization focuses on women's reproductive health, pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of female reproductive system disorders. Students develop clinical skills, medical knowledge, and patient care techniques. Graduates are prepared for careers as obstetricians, gynecologists, and women's health specialists.

Prerequisites:

Program Duration:

Typically 4 years of medical school followed by a 4-year residency program in obstetrics and gynecology. Additional fellowship training for specialization, typically 2-3 additional years, may be pursued.

Certification:

Graduates may gain certification from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) or other relevant certifying bodies.
